OBJECTIVE
To work in an educational leadership position in which I can help end the achievement gap and increase educational equity and help ensure a high quality education for all.
SUMMARY
I have spent all of my fourteen year career working with at-risk students as a middle school language arts teacher in New York City, as the special education teacher in rural Alaska and as a behavior coach in the Gresham Barlow School District. I have worked with kindergarten through post-secondary students as well as staff at all levels. I’ve conducted trainings for hundreds of staff members as well as helped to craft and implement special education policy. My focus in on equitable discipline and academic practice.
